  17. OBJECTS FOR NEXTSTEP.

  20. WEST CHESTER, Ohio, June 14, 1994 -- Flying Monkey Software announced
  21. the availability of the ColorMatch application and color matching and
  22. related objects, FmsColorMatcher, FmsColorList, and FmsColorListSet,
  23. for the NEXTSTEP community. Graphic artists may now find chromatic
  24. closest matches in their work, while developers may enhance their
  25. application with matching and color list grouping.

  28.   ColorMatch

  30.   With ColorMatch, you may select any number of color lists or groups
  31.   of color lists and match a color against them. Simply bring the color
  32.   lists into the application, and drag in colors. Closest chromatic
  33.   matches are located in the color lists and placed into a color well
  34.   for dragging from. Both rectilinear (RGBA) and cylindrical (HSBA)
  35.   color models are supported. Color sensitivity controls are provided
  36.   to allow fine-tuning matching criteria. Collections of color lists
  37.   may be saved as color list sets to leverage production-level needs.

  41.   FmsColorMatcher : Object

  43.   The core of ColorMatch is the FmsColorMatcher. It allows programmatic
  44.   access to matching, color model, and sensitivity setings. Given a
  45.   color and a list of color lists, it will locate the closest matching
  46.   color and allow subsequent access to the color list and color name of
  47.   the matching color. Rectilinear (RGBA) and cylindrical (HSBA) color
  48.   models are supported.

  50.   FmsColorList : NXColorList : Object
  51.  
  52.   Enhances the NXColorList object by preserving and revealing the path
  53.   the colorlist was loaded with.

  55.   FmsColorListSet : Object
  56.  
  57.   Stores a group of FmsColorLists to a file for later access. Useful
  58.   when repeated access to collections of specific color lists are
  59.   required. An icon representing a color list set is provided.
